With the approval of mRNA vaccines for Covid-19, In vitro transcription (IVT) has proven to be a powerful technique to generate mRNA for vaccines and therapeutic applications. There is strong interest in optimizing the IVT reactions to maximize yields and reduce costs.
There are several factors that influence the yield and quality of the mRNA produced. We summarize some of the tools that can be used to set up, to optimize the IVT reaction for enhanced mRNA yield.
