Native Trypsin (EC 126.96.36.199) has been used for many years in multiple applications. Custom Biotech has cloned the porcine trypsin into the yeast Pichia pastoris for recombinant gene expression and produces under cGMP.
This novel procedure in fermentation and enzyme processing eliminates the risk of animal-derived material. No other proteases are used for downstream processing, making this product highly pure, extremely active, and free of any animal-derived material. Rec. Trypsin is therefore ideal, even in regulated production environments.
Roche offers a wide selection of proteases that cleave peptides and proteins at the C- or N-terminal site of specific single amino acids. These proteases provide high lot-to-lot consistency and reproducibility, and are produced without animal components and according to DIN EN ISO 13485. Some of the endoproteinases are available as enzymes purified according to standard purification protocols or specifically designed purification protocols, making these enzymes particularly suitable for custom peptide mapping or proteomics applications.
